Rebecca Arthur is a photographer living in Manhattan, studying Photography and Imaging at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She grew up in a small town outside of Syracuse, NY with her mother, stepfather and two siblings. At the heart of her photographic process, she uses her work as a means for social and cultural criticism. Dissecting themes of her womanhood, and intersections between her childhood and family dynamics; she addresses discourse that develops around her sphere of influence. Her works evokes the beauty and discomfort of empathy, strength and power.
